Supported by a line manager and previous graduates, you’ll work through your project to ultimately develop a business recommendation and present it to senior managers. We’ll give you training in sales and presentation skills, and you’ll learn about the world of FMCG. It’s also a great opportunity to see for yourself what it’s like to work in a large multinational organisation.

In return, you’ll be paid the annual rate of £16,500 pro-rata over the 10-week period. We’ll also help you with accommodation costs if you need to relocate.

If you’re in the summer before your final year at university, this is a great opportunity to get a head start for a place on our Sales Graduate Programme in 2013.

Situational Strengths Test

This multiple-choice test gives you different scenarios and is designed to test your reactions to them. At the end of the test, you should be able to see your strengths, which helps us match you to the different needs of our schemes.

Online Numerical Reasoning Test

We will ask you to complete our online numerical reasoning test. If you’re applying for our engineering scheme, we’ll also ask you to sit a logical reasoning test. You can try out some sample tests at http://www.savilleconsulting.com/sampletests

Strengths Based Telephone Interview

This will include questions designed to identify your strengths in more depth, as well as some technical based questions so we can identify your passion for and knowledge of the function you’ve applied to.

Assessment Centre

This is where we test you in various different exercises, so just be yourself and show us what you’re made of. An assessment centre usually involves an overnight stay, so we’ll cover your travel and accommodation costs. Your assessment centre could include some of these activities:

  • Group Exercise – you’ll read a brief, discuss solutions in a group and present your conclusions to the assessors. You’ll need to make a quality contribution and stand by your views if you think they’re right.
  • In-tray exercise – read a number of scenarios, make notes on what you’d do, then answer specific questions about the function you’re applying to.
  • Case Study Presentation – read a brief, then create a flipchart presentation to give a recommendation back to an assessor and answer any questions. We’ll look at the structure of your presentation and your presentation style.
  • Numerical Reasoning Re-Test– you’ll sit a paper-and-pencil version of our online numerical reasoning test, so get practising!
